The website http://micronemez.com was launched on 11.11.11 to serve as a platform for the broadcasting of creative commons licensed audio and video. On Friday 11.18.11 at Microscope Gallery, FDT will be airing a selection of animations, sculptural mutations, and manipulated documentation from micronemez.

FUTURE DEATH TOLL is currently participating in a group exhibition entitled MIX TAPE, which is taking place at the Tin Sheds Gallery in the University of Sydney, AUSTRALIA. The exhibition runs from June 2nd to 23rd 2011. This show was curated/devised by Lucas Abela and play-stations for the exhibit were constructed by Hirofumi Uchino & Lucas Abela. This exhibition is supported the Australia Council for the Arts.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:
MIX TAPE FLYER
“An exhibition of individual sound works and an interactive sound installation, Mix Tape provides its visitors with tactile playback of a sculptural mass of audiotape. Sound artists from around the world were invited to submit an audiocassette and a balloon. These balloons, with their tape tied to each like a ribbon are filled with helium and released into the ceiling, leaving the tape to unspool as their cassette anchors them to the gallery floor. FUTURE_DEATH_TOLL + Little Field presentz:

Last Thursday of June (6/24/10) 6-10 PM. Little Field is located in the alley between 28th and 29th on Alberta ST.

Mysterious, ubiquitous, and eminently destructive; The agentz of blaze orange known as FUTURE_DEATH_TOLL utilize vintage electronicz such as rotary pwnz, synthesizerz, and drum padz to perform back alley open-heart surgery on their most enthusiastic patientz. The process of rearranging, patching, and modifying audio and video induces intestinal oscillations that could easily jump-start Dr. Frankenstein’s creature.

FUTURE_DEATH_TOLL is, as you know, a throbbing mess of noise that eats technology and shits performance art.
